Technology as the new Human Security pillar Announcement at UN

Consumer Technology Association hosted a joint event with the United Nations Trust Fund for Human Security and the World Academy of Art and Science at the UN global headquarters in NYC on September 18. At the event, CTA announced Technology as the new eighth Human Security pillar. The gathering brought together top-tier media, the United Nations Secretary General Envoy on Technology, CTA, WAAS and HS4A to partake in a CES preview. Attendees learnt about the CES’ commitment to Human Security for All (HS4A) and saw how CES 2024 will showcase technology that addressed the world’s biggest challenges through its show floor, conference programming, and Innovations Awards program.
