Force for Good (F4G) Europe: F4G is a non-profit initiative based on the idea that capital can be a force for good in the world at a time of profound and multi-dimensional change in the world, in allocating material capital to make an impact on the issues facing humanity, in progressing the journey of the world’s transition away from a carbon economy and in stepping up as leaders beyond finance as they seek to address issues of inclusion, racial equity, climate change social inclusion and sustainable development in the spirit of encouraging collaboration and spurring a race to the top in making an impact for good in the world. F4G published annual reports documenting the performance and potential for leading financial institutions and major technology corporations to adopt policies that promote human security and sustainable development. |

The Institute for Advanced Studies in Levant Culture and Civilization (ISACCL) Bucharest: In May 2017, the Parliament of Romania enacted new legislation establishing ISACCL as a CENTER OF EXCELLENCE OF THE WORLD ACADEMY OF ART & SCIENCE. ISACCL is a permanent government-funded research institution in partnership with WAAS, WUC and the Romanian Academy of Sciences and its affiliated institutes. The founding of ISACCL has been the result of a six-year Levant for Global Peace Initiative launched by WAAS Trustee Emil Constantinescu, former President of Romania and founding President of ISACCL, to establish a permanent research institute to promote peace in the Levant through cultural diplomacy. | |
The International Centre for Sustainable Development of Energy, Water, and Environment System (SDEWES) Zagreb: SDEWES located in Croatia is a non-governmental scientific organization headed by WAAS Fellow Neven Duić. SDEWES conducts international conferences on Sustainable Development of Energy, Water and Environment Systems to provide a wider platform for communication and exchange of ideas between scientists and researchers that promotes multidisciplinary approaches to sustainability. WAAS has been a co-sponsor for a number of these conferences. | |
The Montenegrin Academy of Sciences and Arts (MASA) Podgorica: MASA is constituted by Law as the highest national institution in the field of science and arts in Montenegro. Since 2012 MASA and WAAS have collaborated on a series of international conferences addressing a wide range of global issues which includes the emerging individual, humanities and contemporary world, transition to a new society, technology + society, and globalism vs nationalism. | |
The Mother’s Service Society (MSS) India: MSS, non-governmental, educational, and social science research institute established at Pondicherry, India in 1970 and collaborating with WAAS since 1998. In May 2020 WAAS recognized MSS as a CENTER OF EXCELLENCE OF THE WORLD ACADEMY. Garry Jacobs, President & CEO of WAAS is President of MSS; Janani Ramanathan, Secretary General of WAAS is MSS Senior Research Fellow. WAAS and MSS jointly conduct research and conferences on a wide range of subjects including global leadership, education, human security, economic theory, new paradigm, employment, individuality, transdisciplinary social science, management, mind and creativity. The Person-Centered Approach Institute (IACP) Italy: IACP co-founded in 1979 by the world-renowned psychologist Carl Rogers and Alberto Zucconi, Chairman of the WAAS Board of Trustees. IACP is recognized by the Italian Ministry of Education for post-doctoral training courses and is an official Collaborating Centre of WHO and ILO on health promotion training and research. In 2012 it received from the American Psychological Association, Division 32, Bühler Award for outstanding and lasting contributions to humanistic psychology. IACP is also one of the founding charter members of the World University Consortium. | |
The Serbian Association of Economists (SES) Belgrade: SES aims to pursue goals in the field of advancement of economic science and practice in Serbia. Its main activities include organizing scientific assemblies, counseling meetings, seminars, round tables, publishing, knowledge transfer through education and training, cooperation with higher education institutions, regulatory and government bodies. |
ECOSOC WAAS has been granted ‘Special Consultative Status’ by the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) in July 2017. This empowers the Academy to actively engage with ECOSOC and its subsidiary bodies, as well as with the UN Secretariat, programmes, funds and agencies. This enables WAAS to express its views and to influence the work of the Council through meetings, events, presentations, etc. | |
UNESCO WAAS was granted ‘Consultative Status’ by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in 2019. This association will enable WAAS to collaborate with UNESCO on research and programming designed to promote a new paradigm in person-centered, collaborative, contextual and transdisciplinary education in partnership with the World University Consortium. | |
World University Consortium World University Consortium was created in 2013, aiming to establish a “World Virtual University” an old dream of the founders of WAAS. The mission of World University Consortium is to evolve and promote development of accessible, affordable, quality higher education worldwide based on a human-centered approach, to give contextualized knowledge within a trans-disciplinary conceptual framework reflecting the complexity and integration of the real world. | |
CERN In March 2014 WAAS entered into a memorandum of understanding for collaboration with European Organization for Nuclear Research, one of the the world’s most prestigious scientific research institutions, to further the Academy’s exploration of the social consequences and policy implications of knowledge. Apart from its leading edge research on high-energy physics probing the fundamental structure of the universe, CERN is also a superb model of scientific innovation and the birthplace of the World Wide Web. With 22 nations as members, CERN represents an excellent model for advancing international cooperation, which has already led to establishment of SESAME, a sister institution involving countries in the Middle East in highly successful scientific collaboration. European Leadership Network ELN is a high level pan-European network of politicians and diplomats working for the complete elimination of nuclear weapons. In 2012-13, WAAS collaborated with ELN to conduct two NATO-sponsored conferences on international security: Nuclear Threats & Security at IUC in Dubrovnik on September 14-17, 2012 and Actions to Enhance Global Security at DHUC in Zagreb on May 3-4, 2013. Foundation for a Culture of Peace An international NGO founded by former UNESCO Director General and WAAS Fellow Federico Mayor Zaragoza to promote a culture of peace, human rights, non-violence, tolerance and dialogue among civilizations. Green Cross International An international NGO founded in 1993 by former Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev with headquarters in Geneva and offices in about 30 countries. The mission of GCI is to respond to the combined challenges of security, poverty and environmental degradation to ensure a sustainable and secure future. Inter-University Centre, Dubrovnik WAAS is now a member of IUC, an independent international institution for advanced studies structured as a consortium of about 170 member universities worldwide with a mission to organise and promote contact and exchange through projects, study programmes, courses and conferences across a wide range of scientific concerns. WAAS plans to conduct foundation courses at IUC in partnership with other member institutions to evolve new course content on subjects such as new economic theory, human centered development, individuality and leadership, global rule of law and international security. | |
Library of Alexandria Bibliotheca Alexandrina hosted a WAAS roundtable on Search for an Alternative Paradigm to address the Multi-dimensional Global Crisis at the Library in June 2013 preparatory to a major international conference to expand WAAS activities in the Mediterranean region. BA is also partnering with WAAS on the World University Consortium (WUC) project. Dr. Ismail Serageldin a Former Director of the Library is a Director of WUC. The Director of the library is Dr. Ahmed Abdullah Zayed. | |
Nizami Ganjavi International Center NGIC is a cultural, non-political organization based in Baku, Azerbaijan, dedicated to the memory of the Azerbaijani national poet Nizami Ganjavi, the study and dissemination of his works, the promotion of the principles embodied in his writings, the advancements of culture and creative expression, and the promotion of learning, dialogue and understanding between cultures and peoples. In September 2013, WAAS participated in an NGIC-Club of adrid preparatory meeting in Baku on Shared Societies and entered into an MOU with NGIC to promote collaboration in matters of a culture of peace, dialogue, tolerance and understanding within the framework of the programs and sources of action of both entities, through joint programs in areas such as education, culture, science, the environment, human rights, public security with a particular focus on intercultural dialogue and action. The InterAcademy Partnership (IAP) In July 2016, WAAS was elected as a member of the Inter-Academy Partnership. The InterAcademy Partnership (IAP), which was formally launched in South Africa in March 2016, brings together established networks of academies of science, medicine and engineering, namely IAP, the global network of science academies, the InterAcademy Medical Panel (IAMP) and the InterAcademy Council (IAC). Under the new InterAcademy Partnership, more than 130 national and regional member/ academies will work together to support the special role of science and its efforts to seek solutions to address the world’s most challenging problems. in particular, the new IAP will harness the expertise of the world’s scientific, medical and engineering leaders to advance sound policies, promote excellence in science education, improve public health, and achieve other critical development goals. WAAS looks forward to working with WAAS Fellow Mohamed H.A. Hassan, Co-President of IAP and other members of IAP to promote socially responsible application of science for the betterment of humankind. | |
The Millennium Project The Millennium Project is a global participatory think tank established in 1996 under the American Council for the United Nations University that became independent in 2009 and has grown into a global network of 63 nodal groups of institutions and individuals around the world group connecting local and global perspectives and building a global collective intelligence system recognized for its ability to improve prospects for humanity. MP identifies long-range challenges and strategies and initiates and conducts foresight studies, workshops, symposiums, and advanced training. Its mission is to improve thinking about the future and make it available through a variety of media for feedback to accumulate wisdom about the future for better decisions today. It produces the State of the Future reports, the Futures Research Methodology series, the Global Futures Intelligence System (GFIS), and special studies. Over 4,500 futurists, scholars, business planners, and policymakers who work for international organizations, governments, corporations, NGOs, and universities have participated in MP research since its inception. | |
United Nations Academic Impact WAAS is now a member of the UNAI, an association of 1000 colleges and universities in some 120 countries working with the United Nations to promote global priorities, including peace, human rights, and sustainable development. The Academy looks to collaborate with UNAI to promote a new paradigm in global higher education. |
