2. Candidate: Elena Andreevska
Membership dues: Paid dues for 2017 & 2018. Then requested exemption due to expensive medical treatment.
Notes: Elena Andreevska attends the Academy's online conferences. She participated in the WAAS Strategic Planning Survey in October 2023 and has published in Cadmus. She plans to take a more active part in the Academy's events in the future. Elena wishes to be considered for re-election.

3. Candidate: Soshana Bekerman
Membership dues: Paid dues for 2021 & 2022
Notes: Soshana Bekerman has participated in WAAS events, published in Cadmus, and organized sessions during WAAS conferences. As Director of IPCGE, she has collaborated with WAAS on several occasions, inviting Fellows to participate in events organized by IPGCE. She plans to expand this collaboration in the future. Soshana wishes to be considered for re-election.

4. Candidate: Jana Ilieva

Notes: Jana Ilieva has been following WAAS events online, and promotes them at the University of Skopje where she works, and within North Macedonia. Through her efforts, Jana has introduced WAAS initiatives to the Macedonian public and raised awareness about human security. Jana proposes organizing a panel discussion on the role of women in human security at the University of Skopje and a WAAS meeting in North Macedonia. Jana wishes to be considered for re-election.

5. Candidate: Azza El Kholy
Membership dues: Paid dues for 2021
Notes: Azza El Kholy participates in WAAS events online, and follows its activities through the Academy's publications and website. She wishes to participate more actively in WAAS events in future. She would like to attend events in person if they are in Egypt or its neighborhood. Azza wishes to be considered for re-election.

6. Candidate: An Krumberger
Membership dues: Paid dues from 2013 to 2024
Notes: An Krumberger actively contributed to the planning and organization of the 1st and 2nd WAAS Future Education Conferences in Berkeley and Rome respectively, and played a key role in the founding of the World University Consortium. He assisted in the HS4A campaign. He has promoted WAAS on social media, and is eager to continue contributing to WAAS using his networking and organizational skills. An wishes to be considered for re-election.

7. Candidate: Samuel López-Lago
Membership dues: Paid dues for 2022
Notes: Samuel López-Lago has participated in WAAS events online. He attributes his development and professional acquirements to learnings from WAAS events and publications. He has authored 7 books in the past four years, in which he has acknowledged his affiliation to WAAS. He is willing to engage more closely in WAAS activities, and continue building connections for WAAS, particularly with youth. Samuel wishes to be considered for re-election.

Notes: Ash Pachauri has been actively engaged in physical and online WAAS events including GL21, WAAS@64 and the HS4A campaign. He has organized sessions during WAAS conferences, invited WAAS Fellows to programs organized by his Protect our Planet (POP) Movement, and published in Cadmus. He is willing to strengthen the collaboration between WAAS and POP Movement in the future. Ash wishes to be considered for re-election.

Notes: Ibon Zugasti has actively participated in the Academy's activities, particularly on topics related to technology and AI. As Deputy Director of the Millennium Project, he has strengthened the collaboration between WAAS and the Millennium Project through the annual World Futures Day program every March 1st. He plans to continue contributing to WAAS events and promoting collaboration between WAAS and his networks. Ibon wishes to be considered for re-election.

Notes: Dalia Alic is an international affairs specialist in human rights & security, serving at the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Croatia to the OSCE, United Nations and International Organizations, Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs. As a Junior Fellow, Dalia has been active, contributing to the HS4A campaign and the development of the Inter-Parliamentary Union-WAAS educational course on Human Security for parliamentarians. She also participated in the International Congress on “Dialogue and Cooperation in the Black Sea and Balkan Regions” co-organized by WAAS in Bucharest, Romania in Oct 2022. She wishes to contribute more actively in WAAS projects.

Notes: Dina Dragija is the co-founder of UNWASTED, an initiative that brings together policymakers and innovators with the aim of fostering actionable collaboration on sustainable transitions across sectors. Dina has been active as a Junior Fellow. She served as Partnership Manager for the Human Security for All Campaign and has participated in physical and online WAAS events. In the future, she proposes to represent WAAS at scientific and international conferences, engage with youth groups and initiatives, and foster academic and institutional partnerships.
