Short Bio:
Zlatko Lagumdžija, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH, was born in 1955 in Sarajevo, where he still lives today. He is married to Amina and has daughters Dina and Asja Zara and son Zlatko Salka. This professor at the Faculty of Economics finished high school in 1973 in Detroit (USA), and graduated, obtained his master's degree and doctorate at the University of Sarajevo.
From 1997 to 2014, he was the president of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), of which he has been a member since its inception. He began his professional career in 1989 as a professor at the Faculty of Economics and Electrical Engineering, University of Sarajevo, where he still works today. During 1992 and 1993, he was the Prime Minister of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
He was a member of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH from 1996 to 2012, but from 2001 to 2003 he was the Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH and the Chairman of the Council of Ministers. He was re-appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH in 2012. He held that position until 2015. He owns one apartment in Sarajevo, shares ownership with his wife over another, and has an apartment with his sister in Dubrovnik. These three apartments are worth almost a million marks.
In the Sarajevo neighborhood of Poljine, he and his wife Amina own a property and a cottage worth 330,000 KM. In the property card, he also stated co-ownership of: savings, time deposit for children's education and securities, in the total amount of 340,000 euros. Amina Lagumdzija is a co-owner of the company "MPM Plus", which deals with marketing and management.
