Short Bio:
Barry Gills is a Professor of Global Development Studies in the Faculty of Social Science, University of Helsinki. He is the founding editor and Editor in Chief of the Globalizations journal (Routledge) and the Rethinking Globalizations book series (Routledge) and co-founder of the Global Extractivisms and Alternatives Initiative (EXALT) at the University of Helsinki. His recent publications include (as a co-editor) The Routledge Handbook of Transformative Global Studies.
