An artificial intelligence engineer, and an international politics and leadership expert, Ajay currently serves as President of Shankara, a unique wellness company. Prior to this, Ajay worked at the World Bank Group for the past 15 years where he led a global team of economists & change management specialists for the Collaborative Leadership for Development initiative. He has worked closely with 42 governments, assisting and supporting their reforms for good governance and collaborative leadership. His professional, academic and personal experiences have converged to focus his attention on the challenge of good governance and ethical leadership as the heart of the development problem today. He is resolute about applying his international expertise and rich experience helping developing countries improve their leadership capacities and governance systems for sustainable poverty reduction.

Ajay is passionate about education, youth and women empowerment, and creating strong sustainable communities. He volunteers with the global Art of Living Foundation teaching self-development programs to strengthen individuals and communities. A certified international trainer, he has been teaching a variety of leadership programs to corporations, students and others across 30 countries imparting self-management and wellness techniques to support a healthy, happy, and productive lifestyle. He also serves on the Board of the Transformational Leadership for Excellence (TLEX) Institute and Netritva, focused on inspiring young people to serve in their communities.

Ajay has a Ph.D. in Political Science focusing on Leadership in Fragile States from Claremont Graduate University and holds a Master’s degree in Foreign Policy from Georgetown University. He has an M.S. in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Southern California. He has published several articles on the topics of leadership, state fragility and development results.
