Catherine Fiankan-Bokonga is a senior UN correspondent (France 24, Radio Vatican & various African media) at the Palais des Nations in Geneva for 22 years.
Since September 2016 Catherine Fiankan-Bokonga is head of publication and chief editor of Swiss publication, Klvin Mag. She is elected Vice-President of the Association of Accredited Correspondents at UN (ACANU) and of the Swiss Press Club (Club Suisse de la Presse). She is former Vice-President of the Foreign Press Association in Switzerland and Liechtenstein (APES / 2013-2015).
Catherine Fiankan-Bokonga has covered many armed conflicts in Africa and hosted seminars with West African journalists to sensitize them to the duty of non-partisan information. She is a regular speaker and moderator at high profile conferences on security, humanitarian relief, health care, trade, culture and women’s issues. She moderated the Panel on COVID-19, Trade and Leadership at the last conference of UNOG and WAAS in June 2020. Ms. Fiankan-Bokonga also often collaborates with international Foundations and NGOs to promote peace, safety and international cooperation through education and training.
Catherine is a law graduate (France), holds a Master in Political Science (USA) and followed Gender studies (Switzerland).
