GL21-Youth Movements Online Workshop

Global Leadership in the 21stCentury

Youth Movements Online Workshop
e-Conference -- 11 May 2020

There is urgent need to fill the current global leadership vacuum that is preventing humanity from addressing the complex societal and ecological challenges of today. Leadership is needed at all levels in all fields. It must be inspired by higher values, visionary ideas and awareness of untapped opportunities if it is to produce different outcomes. It has to be energized by courageous individuals, innovative organizations and the rising aspirations of global society as a whole.

The Workshop on Global Leadership will gather leading members of youth movements to examine what transformative changes will be required to meet the aspirations of future generations. The workshop is designed to provide a strategic planning opportunity for youth leaders to discuss and decide what their contribution should be to the program of the forthcoming summit on Global Leadership at the UN in Geneva on 27-28 October 2020, which is organized by the World Academy of Art and Science (WAAS). A further aim is to discuss the potentials of a longer-term strategic partnership between youth movements and science organizations such as WAAS and its partners.
